Doing some research and please chime in your opinions.
I was searching a load board on where the freight at in the "good ol USA". CA, WA and OR are dead. More trucks available than freight. AZ, MN, CO, ID, MT, UT, NV are better, but not "earth shattering". But ND, SD, MN, NE, WI, IL, IA, MO are up. Here are some the cities that I reviewed:
Midwest,
Rapid City, SD Loads: 55
Trucks: 1
Omaha, NE Loads: 90
Trucks: 14
Minneapolis, MN Loads: 288
Trucks: 21
Chicago, Il Loads: 432
Trucks: 113
Indianapolis, IN Loads: 317
Trucks: 27
St. Louis, MO Loads 216
Trucks: 50
I did the South, and found freight. Here are my findings.
South,
Memphis, TN Loads: 282
Trucks: 11
Jackson, MS Loads: 52
Trucks: 11
New Orleans, LA Loads: 116
Trucks 29
Atlanta, GA Loads: 173
Trucks: 101
Knoxville, TN Loads: 50
Trucks: 13
Now I know there are variables involved, (the economy) you O/O's can let us know what they are. I know this, the rate of the load where, where are u located , and can you get to that area without losing "momoney".
So give me your input.
Are loadings for vans that slow?
