Are local drivers subject to all the DOT regulations as OTR?

    Back several years I drove a cement mixer in Ohio. We were under pretty much the same rules as anyone with a CDL. However, if we were running concrete to a job funded by the state, we were allowed to run 24/7. I pulled several 36 hour shifts getting cat naps while waiting to get loaded or unloaded. Like I said, that was several years ago and has probably been changed since.

    No rules at all here in chicago. You should see the crap rigs that roll in and out of the rail yards!

    Not one of them is on the road during a blitz week!
