There’s a couple of good ones between Little Fort and Lone Butte. A few more on 6 between Lumby and the Needles ferry. 20 from Anahim Lake to Bella is the stuff nightmares are made of. Don’t have to look far to find ugly #### in B.C. I laughed when I saw Donner Pass for the first time after all I’d heard about it.Blue jeans, Another Canadian driver, Dennixx and 1 other person Thank this.

Two of the five do.Blue jeans and Another Canadian driver Thank this.

I remember being a passenger for a few trips coming down into LF with my dad. Just about 30 minutes of steady jake brake. Could just about jog faster than the truck lol.
That first section of hill from the brake check to hwy 5 they have passing lanes for passing the trucks going down as well as up lol.Blue jeans and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
The boss prefers I stay in the auto shifts. Something about “it ain’t a #### race car”
idk why he’s so crabby I’ve only went through one clutch and two drive shafts this year.Blue jeans, Another Canadian driver, Geekonthestreet and 2 others Thank this. -
Yeah until they need to hit the shop. Seems like there’s only 1-2 Volvo dealers per state.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Smooth bores require timed shifts.. not normally automatic shift friendly.. but all of these have manual modes.. and drivers tend to cry too much and refuse to learn how to use some equipment.Blue jeans, Another Canadian driver, Hammer166 and 2 others Thank this.

Equipment, you mean like standard steering, non-abs brakes, mechanical engines and compound transmissions? The things we had to learn to use before we could be truck drivers. Now tell me again who refused to learn something.Blue jeans, Another Canadian driver, Oxbow and 2 others Thank this.

Exactly this. If you can program it right you can make it do what you want and it’ll likely outperform any manual. If it’s a fleet truck designed to save fuel you are hooped and the Autos suck. Especially hauling fluid. I hauled Fluid in a Non baffle tank for years with an I-Shift and once it was set up properly it was great.
Now, on a more important matter, why hasn’t anyone figured out how to disconnect this Collision Mitigation System on the new trucks yet? That should be the discussion.Blue jeans, Another Canadian driver, Gearjammin' Penguin and 4 others Thank this. -
Driven all that stuff... well... and drive the new stuff... well. You? Oh.. that's right, you don't.Another Canadian driver, Hammer166 and bryan21384 Thank this.
