Are most local/ city driving jobs going to be labor intensive?

    Glen Moore was the truckload division of USF.
    My doctor looked over all my supplements and said they're all ok, even with Type 2 diabetes and BP meds.
    Been struggling to keep BP at a safe level, so she added a 10 mg. Jardiance - one in the morning. Now my BP stays at a steady 110 vs. the 140 - 150 where it seemed to be stuck.

    She added one that's not a prescription, but told me to use it anyway:
    CoQ10 - 400 mg. - one in the morning. Best price I found is Sam's Club Online.

    I do linehaul and don’t do doubles. My brother worked at RL for a month and he had to set up and breakdown multiple sets daily. He ended up quitting. Plus RL carriers don’t pay for fueling, stops, hooking/breaking doubles or waiting for load or another driver. Flat pay for run and that’s it.

    The amount of route drivers at Sysco wearing all manner of knee, wrist and elbow braces would suggest otherwise.

    You could count the years of service on the veterans by how many hernia surgeries they have had.

    Exactly . Same with the linen service route I had . Almost every driver had issues . It's not worth it to ruin your back and all your joints

    Setting up and breaking down doubles isn't too bad if there is plenty room on a flat paved lot. Potholed dirt lot was a different animal. Pick up a good head of steam pushing a dolly then if a wheel drops in a hole it goes spearing off course and good luck trying to get it back.

    So much extra work for slightly more pay than a van / reefer driver . At least in my case, anyways

    • Home Daily - Las Vegas is mainly loading gypsum in Vegas then to California, Victorville area, then cement to California high desert and inland empire (local area Ready Mix plant deliveries) return cement loads to Las Vegas.
    • OTR - LV – to Santa Maria, CA – We can hire student for this position. Cannot have any restrictions on CDL. Load Gypsum in Las Vegas to Tehachapi, CA then load coal to Santa Maria, CA. They will pull 2-3 loads per week.

      Out 5 days home 2 days.
    • Typically, 5 on 2 off schedule. Days off can change as hours-of-service rules dictate.
    • Mon- Fri – Home on weekends (Varies depending on run)
