Are most trucks 10 speed

    9 or 10 speed should be enough hauling 80,000 gross. Canada got more 13 and 18 speeds because of heigher gross weights. Even an 18-wheelre goes for 92,000 here...

    10 is enough, but there are times out west when climbing loaded that the ability to split a gear on a downshift would.sure help keep the RPMs up.
