All of the pictures taken at red lights in Florida have to be reviewed by a living, breathing law enforcement officer, who makes the call. I have asked officers in the cities that have the cameras how do they make the decision, and was told they make allowances for big trucks, so long as the speed is under the limit posted, not tailgating, in the right hand lane, and no close calls with other vehicles.. One place in particular I go through daily has several cameras, and I have had to blow through the intersection on red several times.It was the safest thing to do. No tickets yet.

 

Another good habit is stoping behind stop signs for at least 3 seconds. If you stop beyond the stop sign you can get a ticket for running the stop sign. Drive safely

Dont know how they teach these days but if the intersection has a cross walk the light for the walkers will flash then go solid red at the solid red you have 30 sec before the light changes to yellow. If you are approching an intersection look at the ped light see if it is solid start stopping if flashing keep going.
