For someone with a fresh out the box authority what kind of numbers would you see for insurance cost? Progressive quotes me $6000 a month. Had to be a JOKE!!

A lot of variables go into price. How long you’ve had a cdl, age, where you live etc.

From what I see the rate for a new Carrier is double the amount. How many years?1-3? I don’t know, but definitely has put a crimp on new Entrants.Otherwise it’s never been easier to run under your own #s,the real key today, IMO is being tech savvy, which I’m not.The other disadvantage made worse by higher premiums, is the high cost of taking time off. Trucks still cost $$$ sitting in the driveway.

Downright ROBBERY! That's enough to make someone considered throwing in the towel with trucking.

Someone posted a breakdown of insurance rates by states not long ago. Depending on where you live has a big impact. I believe Mississippi was cheapest.

I can only imagine Florida is probably the highest with its Coconut Head drivers.

I can’t get the copy and paste deal to work on my phone. If you google commercial truck insurance rates by state. You’ll see expediters online, click on that.

    727Guy Thanks this.
