Are O/O A Dying Breed

yeah,The insurance is killing you youngins and new entrants ans sloppy,poor driving habits with claims..

I Pay annually for 1 truck and 2 trailers- $6400.00 that includes General and Auto liabilty-Health insurance total for year $11,780.

And this is because I have Stability-Clean driving habits-Loyalty with 1 Agent and 29 years on the street.

The Health insurance is what I dont like......almost $500 per month for a policy thats just Par for the course-nothing special but low deductables.

 

This may be the best post ever. I can't say it enough. Our uneducated white racist brethren driving company trucks for $600 a week need to read it over and over. They're getting lapped by these people. YOUR PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS were the same hard working immigrants and now you think you own everything. You own nothing. It's a free country.

If these hardworking immigrants get lazy and start sipping scotch by the early afternoon they'll be just like you.

You wanna gross $200k as an independent O/O? You're going to have to work every day for it.
For me, that's one truck and one driver. It's the recipe I have found works for the least stress that I can manage and accountability for my own decisions, good or bad.

Keep in mind tho- This country (Whom Im proud of and fly my colors with pride)...Will always try to bite the working man via taxes.

Its Great to Gross 200-250k per year with 1 truck- I Just Hate seeing guys paying $30-$35k in taxes for your endlessly strong efforts.

This country was built on hard work- Unfortunately,It gets taken away too easily-..Why the millenials could care Less to put forth any effort- Why should they right (Shsking my head) Cheaper to smoke weed in mom n dads basement with a half dozen friends over talking about video games and girls with anorexia that all look the same in appearance.

The American Dream is followed by a small number of folks still that wont let depression of society today get to them-But its tough.............

 

I'm going to be the devils advocate, these hard working immigrants are what's wrong with the industry, they come into our country, with no love for it, just the love for our money, they drive POS trucks, eat rice and beans, have no overhead, live in they're trucks and work for dirt farm wages. They crash their way through our system(literally), make as much money as they can and then send it back to their own country. They don't pay taxes, they don't own homes, the cops won't even write them tickets because their addresses and licences are fake. And the worst part is people that are already established and own businesses will hire them, just so they can make more money. What a world....what a world.

 

You know WHY so many immigrants come here to Own and Drive a truck?

See,It started around 1990 or so.........The Serbians and Croatians were fighting over Yugoslavia, Refugees Coming to America in droves.......And the Macedonians,and most eastern europe followed

Land of the Free, They came here and did 1 of 3 things, Drove a Truck, Opened up a Carpet cleaning Business- Or went to work at the mill.

Sure Our ancesters did the same thing in the 40's 50's and 60's...But the only difference was,They didn't step on peoples toes like imigrants do now.

I Dont Mind you coming here, DONT GET IN MY WAY!!! And dont screw with truckingf.

Cause I'll tell you what- if I Tried going to YOUR country and drive a truck or open up a business.......i'd Be laughed right out of their on a plane back to the states.

 

Some people just lazy enough to give away 30-40 grand per truck yearly . (in some case greater than that) I dont believe there is much savings on insurance.

 

All true, but we have it the best. That's why people want to come here. The word 'westernized' defines it. Every other country has been trying to become 'westernized' forever, because we're the only ones that are actually free, as in totally free. Also, all of these foreign cultures have wacko religious beliefs that you need to have 10 or 20 children, and they all grow up and gotta have a job. That's a bigger problem to me, it's not just them coming here to get in to trucking, it's them coming here to do everything.

But, they aren't going to stop. It's love it or leave it because you're right, you certainly aren't going to go anywhere across the Atlantic or to South America and start a trucking business.
