I'm talking mainly about those 579s they look just like every other modern highway company truck out there. I heard smart trucking on youtube mention that Petes are better, because you usually don't have to wait for a dealership to look at you whereas the Freightliner network is oversaturated and underserviced, which equals long wait times.
Are The New Petes better than Cascadias?

Lol. Petes are better because the dealership network has better shops and shorter wait times? They shouldn’t be in and out of a shop much if a truck is good regardless of being a Pete or an FL.
People nowadays should just say. “Well since your truck is going to be in a shop a lot. You might as well make it a Peterbilt. They have better lounge chairs in the waiting rooms.” Lol.Dadetrucking305, Another Canadian driver, Coffey and 16 others Thank this. -

Pete’s are priced 50+ over some of their competitors. To me it’s more about what’s under the hood. Cummins seem to be where it’s at these days. You can get them serviced anywhere. Paccar, Detroit you better call ahead to see if they have the filters that are needed before you waste your time just pulling up. I’m in an International LT at the moment I’m very impressed with the ride. It’s been a good ride and I’ll give them a hard look in the future when that time comes.

I have a 2022 579 Ultraloft and everything is working as it should. When there’s a recall or a software update I just schedule it for when I’m home. No rattles or squeaks on the interior. It’s pretty quiet and comfortable.
At the peak of Covid some places didn’t have filters for the Paccar engine, but when you only need to service the truck a couple times a year it’s not that big of deal to just schedule it in at the dealer when you’re on hometime.
I’ve never been in or driven a new Cascadia.Another Canadian driver, Rideandrepair, cke and 2 others Thank this. -
