True story:
When I started trucking I was stationed at a dingy motel waiting on my trainer to come pick me up. As I was waiting outside some older driver who had just checked out of the hotel had the peterbilt dealer van come and pick him up. The driver of the shuttle asked me if I was going too.
"No" I responded.
"You should've gotten a Peterbilt, you could've been on the road by now." Was their response.
For some reason, they assumed I was waiting on my truck to be fixed somewhere else.
Are The New Petes better than Cascadias?

I don't have a dog in this fight..
Never drove a Crapcadia nor do I have a desire too
Also didn't learn much from your post either other than you were waiting on your trainer
Still not sure of the relevance of you waiting on your trainer to this threadAnother Canadian driver, Dale thompson, cke and 4 others Thank this. -
Well, all I can say is…. My old bucket of Kenworthless bolts drug a Late model Freightshaker from WV to Baytown, TX, then drug a 2020 Petercar back to WV.
Why..? Because no one could fix the Pete for weeks in Baytown area. Customer was driving it in 2 days once it got back to WV.
As far as a freightshaker and Pete go, I’ll take the Pete please, just going on personal experience. The turning radius of a 2015 Pete with 30” longer wheelbase will out turn my Kenworth. That’s a plus for the places I go…. Oh and resale value.
Until then, guess I’ll holler on the CB and say howdy as I roll by in my old bucket of bolts….

I’ve owned both and it’s a tough call. Would depend on price. The parts are more for the Pete and I like the dealer better. They help me get the parts, fast, and give me part numbers and will help locate parts even at other shops like truckpro and fleetpride. My freightliner dealer is just terrible. You will never catch them on the phone or get part numbers to save your life.
Is this worth tens of thousands of dollars? Who knows I don’t run your business.Another Canadian driver, Rideandrepair, JoeyJunk and 3 others Thank this. -

The dealer Martin Peterbilt just off the Hurricane exit in WV are very helpful.
The Pete I drug back from Texas was sold by them, and repaired by them.
Shucks the starter on my old mechanical Cummins was bought there, they have quite a bit in stock considering how things have been last year or so.
They have pretty much confiscated the better wrenches that the local KW dealer had…Another Canadian driver, Rideandrepair, cke and 5 others Thank this.
