Why would they do that when they know their market is mega-carriers who aren't going to spend the extra money on such things?

Check out new prices on both. Nobody wants to buy a used 389 with an emissions engine. Nobody that's sane does. It's just as much a throw away truck as a Freightliner.

Seems like they're designed with a five-year service life in mind, regardless of what name is on the body. Have you ever seen a truck with a million miles on it with a DPF filter?

The one I'm driving has all of those things. Plenty of storage, 13 gauges not counting digital gauge with probably a couple of dozen parameters or more, a fridge. Comfortable truck. It's got a *nice* little fake wood trim piece under the Cascadia logo on the passenger side of the plastic dash if you gotta have some fake wood trim. It doesn't rattle, squeak and shake. Two tone paint on an aero truck? Maybe you could order that I don't know why anybody would tho.

Seen a older T600 Aerodyne on my way to Florida last week, probably one of the sharpest aero style trucks I’ve ever seen of any brand. It was sharp.

But most just all look the same….

There are plenty of 2008 and newer trucks on the road.

They have the Driver’s Loft option for the Cascadia if someone wants a dinette table and a fold down bed. No way a fleet would spend that money but the option is there if someone wants it.

I know but the thing is the good ol days are long gone. Pretty trucks that struggle to get 6 mpg don't cut it. When they're used with lots of miles and emissions systems that haven't been maintained or half ### butchered up, that's a whole nother level of fun. I don't think OP was even talking about 389's tho.

I drove a 2016 and a 2018 peterbuilt. Both where what I call plastic trucks. What got me was all the bells and dings and beeps. And the auto slow down

All def trucks are equally ####.

The dd15 seems to be the best engine for keeping emissions intact. I just hate the truck it's in.

Wish gliders we're still an option
