This all started when the BIG 5 got "caught" certifying engines at specific fueling/timing numbers and then changed them before going to market. The EPA then dished out fines/penalties and the BIG 5 said we'll see ya in court. EPA said cool, meanwhile don't sell another engine until this is sorted out. BIG 3 cried Uncle and EPA accelerated upcoming emission criteria in a time-frame that was almost impossible to achieve and here we are. Took roughly 15 years to get some dependability back and they still lack where they were before. To be fair, what the newer engines are achieving is amazing all things considered.

The reason I ask specifically about the 579 is that it basically looks like pete's version of the cascadia.Another Canadian driver, IH9300SBA and bzinger Thank this. -

The boss just told me my new 567 arrived today, so I'll be moving out of my 389 tomorrow and getting used to a new interior, Pete style.Another Canadian driver, Last Call, Crude Truckin' and 3 others Thank this. -

My current ride is a 379. I plan to keep this truck as long as possible since elog exempt. I do love it a lot but man I miss the creature comforts and spacious room in the T680 I owned for awhile. If for whatever reason I have to replace it I’m just going to buy a new Volvo. I know it sounds terrible but I know 3 people with volvo trucks with their engines over 1.3m miles and no issues.

Look how tough this plastic Cascadia is. When it happened at 75 mph it hardly cracked any of the plastic at all. It did cut a plastic coolant line tho.
