Same weight as my W900L with headache rack, chains and binders, 30 straps, Tools, all of my personal stuff and 300 gallons of fuel.

That's some heavy plastic you've got there.

I'd be curious to know how much the emissions stuff (DPF, etc.) weighs. We just bought a 2002 IH 9900 similarly equipped, but with a headache rack and it's about 150 lbs lighter.

Exactly! I can compare 2 trucks we have and just by looking you would think they're thousands of pounds different in weight. Both are W900L's one is a 215" extended daycab and the other is like 240" with a 62" stand-up sleeper and they weigh almost the same. Both have C15's and 13spd's but the daycab has the Acert which is heavier, full locking axles, 13k front and 46k rear suspension but everyone thinks the daycab is WAY lighter when in reality it's only hundreds of pounds different.

You can get 3 different frame thicknesses for single rails, aluminum vs steel hubs, light weigh brake drums. You can make just about any truck as light or as heavy as you choose to.
