I aree darthfanta, trucks keep america moving but is not appreciated for our hard work and dedication. The pay should prove that.I would say out of all the professions, trk drivers are disrespected the most.We have truckers appreciation week once a yr.All the depts put on the qualcomm how much they appreciate everything we do.It's all rehearsed and feel like they have to do it so what they say goes in one ear and out the other.I don't blame you one bit for wanting to find another job.As long as there is the trucking industry, trk drivers will always make poverty wages as well as low miles.

    CommDriver and mje Thank this.

Nice post but I have 1 question,do you actually think exp drivers make much more then the inexperienced does?Have you looked at pay scales lately? What the companies are willing to pay the exp ones is starting salary before the economy took a hit.In my opinion, trk driving is the lowest paid profession there is and always will be.Companies just don't care who quits and who gets fired. There has to be a reason why companies hire every week and some 2 or 3 times a week they have orientation and they dont have the miles to keep the other drivers rolling..My guess is some receive subsidy for creating jobs..Are you making good money where you're at or just enough to pay the bills?

I have been running being out 4 weeks and home 2 days. I got a zero mile week and being a lease op....it hurts bad as the bills are still due.... here are my settlements since going solo. pretty bleak. View attachment 44460
