I hear western out of denver is a good company, any company that takes students is a bad company, and will have safety issues on their record. Remember with the new csa rules the company is also rated...companies like england, central, swift, etc. Are not worth driving for except to use them like they use drivers to get a leg up. Lol

there are good companies out there, I own one. the problem is most of us are small and we dont have the money to be our own insurance company, that takes millions. Most of us small guys are required to check a drivers history and make sure they have at least 3 yrs otr. The reason for that is the insurance companies say that a truck driver usually gets all his learning curve wrecks out of the way in 3 yrs. I tend to agree with that but I think a person could learn faster if these big companies would actually do real training not the crap they call training. All of this makes it really hard for a company like mine to even find good drivers. I went to the truck driver school in cedar rapids ia to find a driver back when I was leased onto a company and the idiot in charge told me that none of the people in training would want to work for me because I only had a couple of trucks. I asked why that made a difference and he said cause they have all been told that the small companies will screw you and the big ones dont. I told him that the only way they would even believe that crap was if they were teaching that in their classes. that school was funded by crst. Makes me believe they are a crap company if they think they have to talk bad about companies they dont even know about. Also makes you wonder what are they scared of.
