Please, don't edit out the companies names. That is the purpose of these forums, so we can inform each other about what these companies are doing. You may help another driver that was thinking about going to the company that is jerking you around.
Are there any good companies?

From what im seeing now, its not so much the company, but it seems like more the terminal. That goes about all companies, if your TM or dispatch treats you like gold then ofcouse your gonna say thats a great place to work, but when they treat you like pack mule.......I worked one place and it was great, the pay sucked so i moved on, then i worked another place everything was great, then got laid off due to shut down. I currently work for a place known to be good from what i always heard, but seems its not or is it just the terminal, not sure. Its hard finding good place, best way is work of mouth i suppose and if you get in their "click". Unfortunately its not who you know it who you blow.

If, on the other hand they plant deception, lies, ill-will . . .guess what springs up in that garden? The same . . .weeds . . .thorns, bristles . . .pretty easy to figure out right? Not here lately, as more companies take the "low road" . . they are convinced that there is some benefit to planting these dark and dreary things and expect fruit to spring up . . .It doesn't work that way . . .jimmys Thanks this. -
I start school March 14th in Marshfield Wisconsin. I am going with Roehl trucking because it just seems like a good fit for me. Thanks for everyones input.

I work for a local grocery warehouse by the hour, but the company is doing pretty bad, managment.
I was thinking if things get worse i am going to give Maverick a try.
I have 7 months driveing but i still might have to go back to school because i have not drove anywhere but KY,WV,OH,IN,so thats four states
My work record is good and i have no criminal background and never had a ticket for 11 years and that was 9 h
ours over the speed limit(.
I don't know if i would have to go back to school but if that is what it takes i will.
But imop a lot of time you have to earn your stripes and take any load they offer.
Basically its find a company that matches them as well as yourself.
And if some reason Maverick doesn't suit me i would still give them a year or two before i would try another outfit,i have had one driveing job and 3 other jobs (non-driveing) in since i was 18 years old and now i will be 41 the end of feb.
I hope if Maverick will have me i would like to work for a good company for 20 -25 years.
I hate the job hopping!
So what i am saying is there is more bad drivers than bad companys, but i know of four companys i wouldn't work for . -
Bad place to ask, All the crybabies who get po about the rules will tell you this or that company is bad.
All companys have good and bad points.
I've drove for Schneider national for 10 years now, Some things I,m not happy about, but I like the company enough that I plan to stay with them -
The problem is there really are no rules, its about who's ### your kissing. That will determin what run or truck you get. Favortism is very high at my Estes terminal, must be the same at Schneider.
