We don't want to go home, but we also don't want to do wild team. Out and back is what we want, but don't want to be pressured by the company to clean out the truck or leave the yard when on hometime.

Sounds like FedEx won’t work for you then. I know a contractor out of Columbus where you could make about $4800 a week as a team working 4 days.

FFE has got more than just plasma available for linehaul. I don’t believe their linehaul is out and back, you could bounce around to multiple terminals. Where were you located? Ohio? KLLM’s got an out delivering and back mostly account there as well… but it’s not high mileage.

I’m not sure what the options are for out and back teaming or how far you’d wanna go; we added some “out and back” team lanes from GA to the west coast after absorbing quest.

You can probably live in kllm trucks for up to a week on hometime, ffe could be up to 2 weeks… not sure they’d look to favorably on the idling though. I’ve taken a few days before and just stayed on the yard. Away from the yard, I rented parking with electricity and could plug-in for shore-power.

I think with the Plasma account you get paid while on hometime. One driver told me that.

The driver told me he loads the pallets and unloads them with an electric pallet jack. This jacks up his pay by doing that. I could handle that because it's all about the money anyway.
I did that pulling reefers hauling palletized groceries. I did the unloading and pocketed the lumper money. Trucking company said it's ok.

Aren't all contractors different? Most I don't think hire new drivers, but I've heard of some that do. There was a driver on youtube based out of Orange County, California who said that the Fedex Ground contractor he worked for hires new drivers from "approved schools".

On paper home is TN. But home is where the heart is. Try telling that to some companies though.

That's what I got for unloading palletized saltine crackers. Lumpers were really PO'd about that. They said, "We have families to feed." I said, "So do I."
Every week I could give my wife several hundred dollars in cash or over a thousand. That didn't include my paychecks.
Last Wednesday she made $11,000.00 day trading. I love those smart educated women.
