    I am currently leased onto a car hauling company as a owner operator, but would like to work locally. I do NOT want to work as an employee and happy to buy my own truck, but have been unable to find any jobs working as a owner operator for a towing company (heavy duty) or dump truck driver. Do such jobs even exist? I dont want to start a company as I would prefer to have training and experience first as this is a similiar but different field. Just no clue where to even start my search, or if it is pointless.

    Never seen any tow companies lease on trucks but I’ve seen dump truck companies do it
    Especially if they snag a good road construction project or something .

    Either that or they hire the dump truck owner ops who have their own MC or DOT number and only have one truck .
