Are They Teaching This In School Now?

Because their cruise is set .5 mph faster than you're going but they get an extra 2 mph on the pedal, then they think they got to slow down to let all the cars pass they've been blocking for 4 miles.

 

I give them 1 mile to try and pass, if no traffic I let them get even with me then up the cruise 2-3 mph and don’t let them get in front and slow me down.

 

Same here. I'm not going to let any of these guys with governed trucks include me in their traffic impeding. If you cannot pass me within a mile or less you dont need to be in front of me.

 

I figure run 75 down the interstate and they can't pass you.

Ever notice how people in cars do it? They pass you going 10 mph faster than you and as soon as they get in front of you they lose mental focus. So you have to jump back out to pass them and as soon as it dawns on them, they pick back up speed until you get back behind them.

Sure sign of mental weakness.

When someone pulls in front of me too close for my radar system, the truck automatically, and I can't override it, slows down until a much increased following distance is achieved. So, I pass a truck going slower than me, cars end up behind me, once I move back over, cars start to pass me but cut in front of me too closely and my truck slows down. Driver behind me gets pissed because I passed him and then slowed down. Eventually, once the cars passing me get far enough ahead of me, my truck will resume my previously faster speed.
So, trucker I just passed, I am sorry I passed you and then temporarily slowed down. Please just have a minute or two of patience and my speed will pick back up.

 

This is exactly correct and also why when I do pass I turn off the cruise and use the pedal until after I pass. Keeps you from fighting with the cruise control radar while passing.
