I hate when I've been behind you for an hour and finally see no one behind us... I slip over and try to pass but since I'm only 1mph faster it takes a awhile. By the time we are nose and nose there is a pack of 4 wheelers waiting in something to happen and the driver on the right refuses to let off the cruise for 30 seconds to let me get in. Courtesy went out the door in this profession a long time ago

I let off a little in my POV and will continue to do so in a semi. Someone has to be the adult.

You expect everyone out here to cater to you? Why not drive your truck 5mph below the governed speed so you can pass properly?

I know this might work an awful hardship on some of the people with passing problems but you could always turn the cruise control off and just use your foot. And your brain.

The difference between going 66 mph and 65 mph over a 500 mile trip is only 7 minutes. Going 75 mph, you get there an hour earlier, however.

Ya bud, apparently you didn't see the part where I waited patiently for a good opening and try to do the right thing. Nope don't need to cater to me but for some strange reason I will continue to be a professional and help others out here. As for you by all means keep up the good work of only doin right by you and you alone.

    #### I hate that.

That’s also usually a sign of the phone going in someone’s hand.

If you’re gonna blow my doors off, fine. But at least keep up the pace.

My opinion is still the same. #### or get off the pot. Not the guy in the right lane's job to cater to the clown who can't figure out they need to push the go pedal down further in order to pass.

Don't ya think we thought about this before. HOWEVER, in my company's no fully thought through strategy to get drivers to use cruise control, which they think will save fuel over pedal, they set up the trucks where our maximum speed without cruise, on the pedal, is 3 mph SLOWER than using cruise control. We take it off cruise, we get even slower.
If you have been paying attention, chances are you have seen the guy passing you creeping up on you for some time. I do. So, I know he is running faster. Just have a minute of patience and let them continue on their way.
