Dude, you are not the only one of the road, have some courtesy, don't ya think if we could go faster we would? Many of us on the road are governed and are doing the best we can.

That’s why with that system hog pass with foot on pedal to override cruise and active breaking.

The cruise control thing brought up in this tread is ALWAYS the excuse and problem.I don’t use it. I don’t have it. That is what the peddle is for. If my leg and feet get to sore or fall asleep working that peddle it is time to get out and walk around and inspect the truck.
That is why “the sleeps” that are happening are so devastating these days. The truck doesn’t slow down and if you wake you panic and have to hit the brake hard to slow down because the cruise will take you to the crash at full speed. Without cruise You tend to loosen up pressure with your body on the peddle when you fall asleep letting the truck slow.
The constant reliance on the cruise for whatever reason is just another way of subcontiously giving up and letting us go one step closer to driverless trucks. You are letting yourselves become a rider and not a driver. Just something to think about the next time it takes you five or ten miles to pass when it should have only taken one.

If there is a line of cars behind you, you obviously didn't wait for a good enough opening. If you can't pass reasonably drop your cruse by 1 mph and the right lane truck will walk away from you. 1 or 2 mph won't kill you.

There is another problem that you will run into.

If his truck is governed at 65 and yours at 64.5, when he passes you and clears your front bumper, he’s going to come over in front of you. Now, for the next few miles, you are virtually blind. He is blocking almost all of your forward visibility.

If you are cool with that, then carry on as you were.

Any of you cruise riders ever noticed how much smoother and easier and stress free it is when you either pass or get passed by an evil old pre-emission non-eld mechinacal pump truck? Unless that driver is being a jerk and just messing with you he gets outa your way fast and smooth when passing you and lets you get around him fast and smooth when you pass. There is one good reason for this. 100% Foot to throttle control. No cruise doing its thing.

If you're going a whole entire 1 mph faster than the guy you're trying to pass and that's balls out, you have no buisness passing them.
