The fuel stations probably still got the cheaper fuel. When they buy their next batches, price will go up. Most fuel companies unlike trucking companies don’t run in the negative. Doing that makes zero sense. Does a plumber pay you to install a shower? Problem is some trucking company make poor decisions. It’s ok though, rates will go up as they purge. I am doing my regular long haul currently as I type for a hair over 3 bucks a mile. Those taking freight for 1.90 a mile don’t have a clue.
Are we fixing to see a huge purge in trucking?

Paid $4.18 @ TA Morris, IL
Iowa..TA Brooklyn was almost a dollar more.
$4.649 Scranton PA right now where I’m at.
If I fill up here like I did in Illinois I’ll probably get a ifta refund for the first time

Come over to Commiefornia and fill up, the Peelot in Hesperia is $5.95. I have my places were I fill up and it isn’t any TruckStop. Usually around $0.50 cheaper than any TruckStop.

If I didn’t run miles in both those states every quarter then I’d probably average 4mpg on my ifta filings.. Could definitely cut my fuel usage in half justifying the higher fuel cost there.
maybe I should find some hippie chic in northern CA and just run up and down the west coast -

I heard there was some kind of trouble in the Middle East that might be driving prices up .
cke and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
It’s a bit of a pain because 55mph is too slow for18th and 17th 57mph is a bit fast to keep it there. Of course when I’m climbing hills in Northern California and Oregon it’s back to 5mpg.dwells40, cke, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this.
