The fuel stations probably still got the cheaper fuel. When they buy their next batches, price will go up. Most fuel companies unlike trucking companies don’t run in the negative. Doing that makes zero sense. Does a plumber pay you to install a shower? Problem is some trucking company make poor decisions. It’s ok though, rates will go up as they purge. I am doing my regular long haul currently as I type for a hair over 3 bucks a mile. Those taking freight for 1.90 a mile don’t have a clue.

It’s a Haldex. Same one I got from Freightliner in Baton Rouge 8 yrs ago for $550, now they’re $610. Freightliner here in Savanah has a Bendix reman. for $1050. Only one in stock. On backorder like everything else at Freightliner. has a 235###### Detroit part #.,Supposedly remanned for Detroit, it h according to them brand new ones aren’t available. I find that hard to believe. They were available 8 yrs ago for about $1400. I’m going with the Haldex again. Pretty sure the original was a Haldex. Also known as Haldex/Midland. Or Midland style Haldex. All the same. I guess Haldex bought out Midland. I’d think Bendix would be the best. Parts are a crapshot. Any Major Brand is as good as the next. Half price of Dealers a no brainer.

    Hell froze over?

    WA to PA trip
Paid $4.18 @ TA Morris, IL

Iowa..TA Brooklyn was almost a dollar more.

$4.649 Scranton PA right now where I’m at.

If I fill up here like I did in Illinois I’ll probably get a ifta refund for the first time :)

Oregon I paid $3.80? But of course my permit they got me for $140

Correction the one at Truckpro is an Armada reman. I’m not a fan of Armada reman govenors. Had one go bad within a month or so. I’m a bit Leary of it, but going for it anyways. I think I’ll call Fleetpride first. Never know, prices are always inconsistent on everything.

Come over to Commiefornia and fill up, the Peelot in Hesperia is $5.95. I have my places were I fill up and it isn’t any TruckStop. Usually around $0.50 cheaper than any TruckStop.

You know what’s crazy about CA.. I get like 10mpg in my 389 doing the 55-57 mph there. Every where else 5mpg, lol. Washington I average around 8mpg doing the 60-62.

If I didn’t run miles in both those states every quarter then I’d probably average 4mpg on my ifta filings.. Could definitely cut my fuel usage in half justifying the higher fuel cost there.

maybe I should find some hippie chic in northern CA and just run up and down the west coast :)

That’s crazy……. If I run a steady 62-65(which I run all the time), I will barely get 6.5(average is 6), but if I run 55-58, it drops to about 5.3. I keep my Rpm’s 13-14 unless I’m pulling a slight hill. Now this is pulling a skateboard with a ISX 15. My former Cat 3406E got 7mpg all day long.

I heard there was some kind of trouble in the Middle East that might be driving prices up .

CA doing 57 in 18th I’m probably chugging along at 11-1200rpms with the 3.55 axle ratio.
It’s a bit of a pain because 55mph is too slow for18th and 17th 57mph is a bit fast to keep it there. Of course when I’m climbing hills in Northern California and Oregon it’s back to 5mpg.
