Are we off on Thanksgiving?

    I just started in September.. What holidays are we off or do we work through them?

    A lotta you guys (Unfortunately) are gonna be in truckstops that are new..........
    I Missed 1 Christmas and 3 thanksgivings in 28 years- The Christmas I Missed was in 1993- That Huge Snowstorm that hit the Midwest-East coast

    Ooops.......didn' notice Averitt-So I can't Comment on Holidays with them- Consider yourself off because Averitt is a great company to work for.

    Trucking is a 24/7/365 year job... what holidays you get off is between you and your dispatch.

    I understand that but I wasn't sure if we worked Thanksgiving, I know we're off Christmas

    Thank you for those sacrifices. It allowed me to stay how and enjoy my family. You truckers are truly an American treasure.

    Nope.

    LOL.

    With that said if you are lucky you will get a few days in a hotel usually a fleabag.

    Im accustomed to that because there are sometimes no loads for love or money anywhere. And what is really bad is that they want to load you where you are right there, in 2 weeks.
