I’m fully out of trucking. I just like the community, and I feel like if one person can benefit from proof, that’s important. I totally get the hindsight, but hindsight is the key to believing in yourself and potential. BUT, there are opportunities in the market EVERYDAY that present 30%+ ROI. I just think some people would love to have the option to be at home and make significant money. None of this is bragging, I just feel it’s useful to share legit information.
But I do get the hesitation and doubt. It isn’t real until you literally see the account in your hand rise 5k 10k 25k in hours. I’ve seen it, therefore I believe.
I just think it’s so cool that this is a reality today.
Are we owner operators really stuck around 2 bucks a mile?

And if you have zero insider information, playing with options is no different than gambling.
Just ask the kid who killed himself back in 2020 playing with options ON MARGIN.RefMata, LoneRanger, PoleCrusher and 2 others Thank this. -
If.
And what if the market didnt crash Friday then you would have lost $10kRefMata, PoleCrusher and Opus Thank this. -
Ten4, Driver. I would never pay over 500 dollars to have my truck polished either. But again, to each their own. Just out of curiosity; how much does your GL/Cargo run you a month or year?Last edited: Aug 28, 2022

Agreed. But "enough" varies wildly between each man's operation as well as a million different variables. Personally, I don't have a problem going into FL for 3k if I'm about 900-1000 miles away. I can bounce to GA on that if I have to to get something getting me home OR I can take some 1.30/mile outbound to get the same revenue. However, I prefer to leave FL empty to get closer to home because it's easier on my equipment.Brettj3876 and Kenworth6969 Thank this.

Yes, and if YOU noticed it asked you a simple question. You're trying to push your narrative and chosen rate on the market. YOU think that it's not worth going into dead areas like FL for less than your 5/mile.
There plenty of us out here that disagree. What if you're in Valdosta? You think 6/mile to go to Gainesville is worth it? You have some weird math going on that always completely ignores the miles on the run and only focus on RPM. You've made that clear in your cry baby thread.
You're willing to have your equipment tied up for an entire day for 600 dollars gross? You think places that have a lower cost of living should have to pay the same rates as those that live in very expensive places like NYC? Get real.Brettj3876 and Czar_Zero Thank this. -
Absolutely. 3/mile is today's 2/mile. With elevated operating costs ad well as sky rocketing personal cost of living affecting all of us we must raise the bar across the board. However, the "market" has a mind of it's own. Good luck getting 3/mile out of dead areas. The next couple years are going to be very very interesting.RefMata and Brettj3876 Thank this.

You know what i mean.
Do I really have to clarify that $6 mile is NOT good when doing a load going 3 miles across town?
Come on.
Short hauls are a different story. We all know that.
North Florida and south Florida is a whole lot different too.
You cant even get truck parking in south florida, let alone a load lol.
If you pay $20 and its before 3pm you have a chanceProfessionalNoticer Thanks this. -
not really. You could’ve just played the other side. It’s like how you decide to book loads. You analyze then book. Market, analyze then buy. The info I’m sharing is to show the potential in markets, not really direction
-
Are you really comparing the stock market to booking loads? Lol. Even if i book a load to do for free i still cant lose everything like you can in the stock market.
The stock market is still gambling regardless.
Lots of potential to lose a lot of money too.
