As said to generate revenue. Thats also why HOS were changed to trump us up. I'm gonna donate 90 bucks to the OK trooper fund myself. Was spotted earlier not wearing a seat belt. Which is puckey, my truck did not come with shoulder belts only lap belts. I was headed thru the trees when the event occurred dodging the coop. I'm glad to only pay that it coulda been soooo much worse.

Well, to answer that, just ask yourself how many trucks would be running down the road grossing 85k, or having 38k on a set of axles, and completely bogus logs. You think roads are bad and unsafe now ... I don't like them, don't misunderstand. But come on, you really thing 100% of the drivers are going to "self-regulate" legally if there is nothing to keep them in check? I'd rather have to deal with "permanent" weigh stations then portables and spot checks at every 10th rest area.
