Are you allowed to have a gun in your truck?

    That's exactly why these laws should be repealed. They effectively violate your right to defend yourself.

    "Carrying an unloaded weapon that isn't in reach while driving." "Kept the ammo is (in) a drawer behind the driver's seat." Something is going down now and it's a matter of life and death and you need to get your defense on... one 1 second, two 1 second, three 1 second... game over that quick.

    Yeah it could happen that fast, but you get caught with a loaded firearm in reach and get pulled over with a search from law enforcement, your career could be over in 1...2...3...

    When I wasn't driving, it was fully loaded on my table next to me.

    When you're driving a rig, your first line of defense is sitting under your butt. If somebody ever pointed a gun at me while driving, I would have smeared them like a big bug into a guardrail.
