The major carriers are winning, the only one that can run at these prices it seems are the elog loving, driver raping, soulless mega carriers.

Thankfully with my extra 37 cents I can afford a Peterbilt and chrome tape.

Is that to the truck rate? After carrier cut?

The number of Owner Operators and small companies out here far outweigh the mega companies.

That is true, i have seen those numbers, but feels like in the near future that will be steadily decreasing, and I do think that sucks since trucking used to be a good life.

No doubt I’m one of the people that you were in awe with last year. LOL j/k

$3/mi is the new $2/mi is what I was saying and I was getting it. Why give the perception to the 10’s of thousands who read this board that $2 is good? Collectively as a whole we should be pushing for $4 a mile average!

I’m still around $2.38/mi all hub miles but it does take a lot of work and hustle for sure. I’ll always be the first trying to push rates up or try and keep them from creeping down. Everyone of us should.

Truckers are like the fish caught in the net in that kids movie Finding Nemo. Swimming every which way except the same direction. Accomplishing nothing together as a whole and getting killed off one by one.

Never saw finding nemo, but can still picture it. The industry is so fragmented that they are cannibalizing themselves.

I just talked to a company out of texas, that treats OO like employees. They pay w2 and you still cover expenses and all that. Seems weird, they claim its due to recent law suits. Anyone work with a company like that?
