Swift is actually much better than that.
It is 1 day for every 6 out.

That extra day can really add up.
61 home time days in 1 year compared to 52.

Comparatively, a regional job which gets you home for 1.5 days each week (34 hour reset) would net you 78 days off.

And then of course there is the locals, which get you home 365 days per year, with 102 of those being off days (not counting Holidays).

Not arguing, just adding to the conversation.

Yup paid for courtesy of the tax payers. They should make these guys work in a sweatshop making goods so my tax money can go to schools and fortune 500 companies.

I guess how old you are kinda depends on who you hang out with. I'm kinda the young whippersnapper in our crowd, but I have 40+ year old kids.

Don't really drive too much, cause I only wanted to do it part time and those jobs are hard to come by. I just wanted to cruise down to the ports a couple times a week but hey, if that ain't happening', that's cool, too.

I have a pretty good job, pays the bills and gives me 3 days off per week. That's probably why I'm having such a hard time understanding why trucking companies put their drivers thru the wringer, seven days a week, week after week.

All they are interested in is bottom line. They could care less about their drivers. They know that for every vacant seat, there will be half a dozen or more young, (to the trucking industry,) green idiots, waiting to take their place.
