Aren't we supposed to dump the air bags before we slide the 5th wheel?

    That's because it's a livestock trailer. Show me a dry van with no landing gear.

    Most frameless dump trailers don’t have crank down Dollie’s on them. If the owner wants to have the choice of dropping a loaded dump trailer, they will put crank down Dollie’s on them, but most go for the lighter empty weight.

    That's how breakdown at my company instructed me to slide the 5th wheel, and the 5th wheel slid very smoothly and precisely.

    Show me a dry van that does not have crank down landing gear.

    Then you should of specified " dry vans"... there's more to this industry than just dry vans.... the same thing applies to that maunel your complaining about.. that probably was written to cover a broad spectrum .. not just YOUR specific needs this world does not evolve around just you
