RGN, livestock trailer, belly dumps, some highboys, some logging trailers, single axle jeeps.
Just a few examples of trailers I've seen that don't always have landing gear/landing gear with a crank.
Aren't we supposed to dump the air bags before we slide the 5th wheel?

Legend has it, swift was trying to slide his 5th wheel but he didn’t read the manual.Long FLD, Shawn2130, God prefers Diesels and 4 others Thank this. -
He said to dump the bags when dropping the trailer. He got that one right. Now you don't have to do that when you drop the trailer, or when you slide the fifth wheel. But doing so is better. It's easier on the equipment, and while it seems like extra steps....slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. -
These trailers use pins in landing gear. No crank at all. Just pull the clasp off, pull pin, drop the leg down, find the nearest hole, put the pin in and lock it. Repeat for the other side.
Sucks for trucks that have different ride heights or legs sunk into the ground lol.Kyle G., Speedy356 and God prefers Diesels Thank this. -

We often had to stretch out for turning clearance, and some states would watch to see if we were stretched out going down the road, so it saved a lot of stopping if you could slide on the move.Shawn2130, God prefers Diesels, kylefitzy and 1 other person Thank this. -
