OK. I've been an O/O since about 2014. I know about the other wacky states like NY, NM, Oregan etc... that charge you to drive your CMV through them. When did Arkansas start with this crap. I'm getting bills from them stating that I owe them X amount of dollars for 2016. I did not drive through that state in 2016. But since I did not send them my information back in 2017, I'm now getting taxed because they just come up with numbers out of their butts. People wonder why trucking is just not worth it anymore. Does anyone have any info on when this started and why if I'm base plated in NC, why the hell I have to tell them how many trucks I have, how many trailers....Makes no sense to me when I have to do that for NC anyway.
Arkansas Ad Valorem Tax...Has anyone else been hit with this???
