Easy… if you can’t read signs then you can’t read road closures signs, etc. lane closure can’t read stop signs…that’s what makes it a danger to the motoring public

It is somewhat funny to see this enforcement assessed by some here from the constitutional angle, as if driving a CMV wasn't already full of such controversies and the vast majority of the concerned are not even American citizens but were brought here on questionable work visas. We all know there was never shortage of drivers but shortage of decent pay and working conditions. How constitutional is it to dump cheap labor on already strained American blue color job market?

Well as I said in a buried post, the KEY to the wages isnt to remove "cheap labor on already strained American blue color job market", but to INCREASE disposable income to the lower classes. More disposable income, more consumer purchasing, more goods being moved.

Quickest and easiest way to increase disposable income for the lower classes (and by that I mean middle class on down) is to reduce their tax burden. Best way to do THAT is to INCREASE the tax burden on the rich. Undocumented aliens contributed 1.8 billion (dont ask me how they got that data because I have no idea) to the state of Florida last year from an estimated 1.2 million people. Elon Musk could pay that ALONE and not even feel it.

Current unemployment rate is about 4% which is exactly perfect for a good economy. Start tossing people out (because you dont like them) and that rate drops meaning employers hire whoever they can get. The quality of the workforce suffers.

Nope, the KEY is to cut taxes to the lower classes and increase taxes on the rich. But it aint gonna happen because the richest 1% are either already IN office, or they OWN someone that is. So the rich get richer, and the middle class on down suffer for it. And to keep the cycle going the rich blame someone else to keep the focus off them. In this case a billionaire president is blaming immigrants and people believe him.

Problem is, most of those "undocumented" people have jobs no one else wants. So eliminating them does what exactly? Do YOU want to run Amazon loads for example? Do YOU want to help make Belos (or whatever his name is) richer?

Farm workers, are YOUR kids going to go pick watermelons? Work for min wage at McDs? Careful of what you wish for, and focus on a REAL solution, not just "a solution" spoon fed to you by the people that really ARE the problem...

You need data to tell you something is a bad idea?

We get drug tested and can’t smoke a joint on our time off because we’re “safety sensitive”, yet we’re going to allow functional illiterates to perform the same aforementioned “safety sensitive” duties. Sure, that makes perfect sense.

A "bad idea" is drinking and driving. Do you see politicians raising hell over that? Do you see DOT guys making drivers blow in straws to reduce THAT?

Nope. Why not? Because the RICH want you to watch the shiny ball and focus on what THEY want you to focus on, and NOT WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT.

Drunk drivers kill and injure so many people in this country that it isnt even funny.

Where is the outrage for that?

And I CAN provide the DATA for that. Wanna see it?

People that cant read and write english have caused 2 fatal crashes in 6 years that I can find because they couldnt read english. It isnt even CLOSE. And yet all this fuss over NOTHING. NOTHING!

Get drunk (and high) drivers off the roads. That is a MUCH bigger danger. Isnt it? Or are you going to aurgue the point?

It's difficult to pinpoint an exact number of deaths directly attributable to potholes over the past six years. Potholes are a contributing factor to road accidents, but they don't always cause fatal crashes themselves. However, studies indicate a significant impact, including thousands of accidents and hundreds of fatalities linked to potholed roads annually.
Here's a breakdown of what the search results suggest:
Between 2018 and 2022, 8,265 people died on the nation's roads.
Data suggests around 6,880 accidents and 2,342 fatalities are reported annually due to potholes.

    POTHOLES KILL!!!

Where is the outrage over that?

Focus on what IS important... less than 6 documented deaths in 6 years due to a CDL driver not being able to read signs...
