I could care less what race, nationality, where you’re from or any of that if you can competently and safely drive a truck because here’s the reality. You can be as safe as can be. You can follow all the rules and you can do everything right and none of that matters and it all goes out the window. If the people passing you or that you’re passing or that you’re getting next to out on the open Road have no regard for you whatsoever. And those of us that are out here, know that there is more and more and a drastic increase in these type of drivers. We see it. We see it in the truckstops, we see it out on the road, we see it at the shippers and receivers. We see it everywhere we go. The industry is slipping into the abyss. And it’s because they’re putting anyone and everyone behind the wheel of these trucks and their mentality is I’ll just make whatever money I can and if something happens, I’ll go do something else or go back to my home country. They don’t care. Like I said, I don’t care what nationality or race or anything else you are. As long as you can safely drive a truck.
in a sense it’s kind of like a football team. You can be the best player on the team but if the rest of the players around you all stink, you’re still gonna lose. They’re gonna drag you down. And that’s what we see happening out here. I’m sick of passing drivers or drivers. Passing me and looking over at them and seeing their cell phone or a tablet in their hand. Literally in their hand watching a movie or whatever they’re doing. Completely in another world. Often with their feet up on the dashboard. How do you even do that anyhow? They can’t hold their lane. They’re speeding through construction zones. You name it. All while on their phone.Lite bug, Siinman, Gearjammin' Penguin and 1 other person Thank this. -
When in Rome, do as the Romans do
Especially when it comes to safety and it starts costing lives and being a health concern

Everything you said was correct except this, the current dialect in america closest to the kings english at the 1776 split is deep appalachian west virginian/virginia/north carolina.
The midwest was all largely settled long after the revolutionary warSiinman Thanks this. -
In all seriousness, screw the English. I speak American. George Washington kicked the #### out of the English, no reason to claim their tounge today.

If y'all wanna speak English, git your butt back over to England
Siinman Thanks this. -
Back then, one of the first things those new arrivals did was to try to learn our language.Siinman, singlescrewshaker and Iamoverit Thank this. -
The one thing that stands out is you cannot admit that you can’t speak English. I’m guessing that you can just choose how you want to communicate and that they can’t force you to speak..that’s what I get out of it anyway.
My thoughts on the whole subject is, if cross border drivers aren’t required to speak English then everything else is just a big dumpster fire.
If everyone is just upset about all the immigrants driving on visas then that should be addressed.
Let’s put politics aside and place blame squarely where it belongs. Who’s responsible?
The ATA is the one who solicited the government for 80,000 (maybe 65k I forgot) and got them. The government in trying to help granted the visas. This is also the same group and it’s members (I’m sure you know some and I’m hesitant to call them out) pushing hard for the truck braking BS..it’ll definitely go through sometime soon.
Stop the visa giveaway..
Stop the English only bs because it will never account for anything..the ACLU will prevent it from happening. -

The USA language actually started at the corner 5Th and San Pedro. Behind the check cashing place that used to be there.
