If you go to Monroe Louisiana there are JB Hunt trucks everywhere with chip and log trailer. Many of those trucks represent owner operators who have gone out of business or small logging crews who gave up having there own trucks. Kind of sad, but they offer good money and benefits and I’ve heard nothing but good from the drivers who run for them.

JB Hunt is into everything here in Arkansas. As @OldeSkool said above forest products industry. Also they are hauling for the Chicken producers. Live haul and feed trucks, all in daycabs, so home every day.OldeSkool Thanks this.

I can't speak for Little Rock, but as far as West Memphis, you mostly won't have to deal with the crime as long as you don't get yourself involved with the wrong people like I used to do years ago. If he's in West Memphis, PTL, Abilene, CFI, Werner, Schnieder, USA Truck/DB Schenker have terminals there. I don't know if any of them allow pets but it's worth an inquiry.Chinatown Thanks this.

I haven't seen drugs or a lot lizard there at the truck stops in years. All that stuff got cleaned up years ago. Now the other stuff, oh yeah, you can accomplish all that.
