Sand? That's better then Texas. Texas sometimes spreads what basically amounts to pea-gravel, and for 2 months following, windshields are getting replaced by the tens of thousands.

 

Problem with sand, it won't dissolve, so it collects in storm drains, then weeds grow in it and plugs the storm drains.

 

When I was a kid, I always wanted to run that bucket thingy to clean out storm drains

 

Arkansas is ok to pass thru, I'd hate to have to live there,

Yeah well when its got snow for 9 out of 12 month's might as well put a shovle in their hands fixing all the posts they knocked over all winter for those 3 month's
