I worked for them for 4 years out if there Langley yard, they were good to me. I was mainly local/regional driver, did a few runs to Alberta, Washington State and watched over the yard. Never had a pay issue, never had to fight to get things fixed. I got along with most the other drivers, dispatchers and managers. Still keep in touch with a number of them. If they put a truck on Vancouver Island I would work for them again for sure.

i also drove for them. not bad. TONS of midwest work. Illinois and wisconsin.
they pay crap if you stay in canada -
I am currently looking for employment in the lower mainland.
Do you have anyone I could contact, maybe an old friend of yours who works there? Looking to stick around home. -
OK, just a heads up-any owner operators leaving AB could wait up to three months for a final payout. Regardless of when in the year you separate from them, assorted charges for the whole year will be taken off. Cousin gone-too many issues-equipment safety, sent on trips that co. knows will take longer than legal hours to do if Walmart takes forever to unload-then co. expects driver or o/o to wash out container etc. when driver is already over hours by time Walmart frees them. Guess like a lot of big companies-project squeaky clean image, and rotten to the core.
Sad that good companies are so rare. -
Anyone reading this thread should know that cliochannel is a fake. None of those comments are real. All this BS about "my cousin". This person is giving a good company a bad name. Does her cousin not know how to read and write??

Dear Bruce Smith-you ever trucked for them? If not, give it a try, then tell me I am full of crap. Like many other big outfits, things look not too bad at the start. Then you find out the reality An illuminating experience for many. By the way-hubby, brother and cousins are all truckers. Have run all over North America for decades. So, tell you what-have a run for ABT-don't just sail along on the prairies-go back and forth over the mountains. Unless of course you already work in one of the company offices or are related to the ABT owning family and dislike folks telling it like it is. As to cousin etc. not knowing how to read etc.-they are out on the road, working.

every experience with them so far, from their drivers to their dispatch and other office staff have been nothing but pleasant and professional. same with their school.
-
They have the best school in Manitoba. I do not work for them but know many who do. Are they perfect? NO. But in this industry there are a lot of sleazy bad apples. Arnold Bros. rates near the top. I spoke with many of their O/O's and all were pleased. Cliowhatever just posts a lot of second hand BS. Like the story of pig waste making a driver sick. If they took new drivers I would be there in a flash.
