I was arrested five and a half years ago and when they fingerprint me it comes up as " warrant: burglary" . I was not " convicted" of anything just "charged". One person told me I have to hire a lawyer and go through the court process, and even then I was told that an arrest record cannot be "expunged". I need to know if this is going to affect me getting a job with a company. I ask because I have a job right now and I don't want to quit my current job to go to orientation just to be rejected. Does that make sense? Does anyone have a arrest record that was hired ? I really really want to be a truck driver , and I hope that this is not a deal breaker. Companies I've been called back about are
swift, Henderson,prime, crst, usexpress.

So you don't have a felony, you were merely charged with a crime? What was the outcome of your case?

You can't get a arrest record expunged, how ever you can get a certified document from the county that you were arrested in stating thst you were not convicted with a crime. It won't guarantee that you will get a job, but it might help.

Charles Manson can get a job as a trucker if he were to be paroled.
We need more details though and not about your crime. Need to know your location; city/state which pertains to the hiring area you live in.
