I just don't like crap like that, how is the co drivers butt in a crack? It's not his responsibility to keep track of the OP. All he had to do was be quiet and enjoy some privacy in the truck, heck you think he would have been grateful.

I think people who don't mind their business are annoying.

This is why during my driving days I would never drive team. I would quit first and look for another job. I also agree the OPs co-driver should have been more sensitive to the situation. At that point there was no need to call the company. Let the OP deal with the company in case he don't make it back before you both pull out.

Everyone is entitled to there opinion whether they are right or wrong..

Anyone who says this guy is irresponsible and shouldn't be in a truck is wrong and while I understand you are entitled to your opinion it just makes you look like a idiot...

The guy might have been irresponsible when it comes to drinking to the point of passing out (in a public bar) and maybe he is guilty of hitting on the waitress no crime in that.. I personally would never go to a bar and drink myself to the point of passing out but that's just me... We are all individual and that is what makes us unique.. He did something some of might have done and some of might not have done but to judge him about his driving is ridiculous.

Like others have said.. From the story we get he wasn't planning on driving, he wasn't planning on going back to the truck and he has many hours before they were set to roll out.. How does this make him irresponsible.. In fact it makes it the exact opposite.. I don't care what you do on your free time, the only thing I care about is if your back at the truck sober and ready to drive..

To many naysayers out on this forum.. Most members here will jump on anyone if they are not perfect.. For instance go look at threads about DUI.. Most members pounce on the person even if they DUI is from 30 years ago.. You will still get dummies on here saying he/she is irresponsible and shouldn't be on the rode lo.. I just bang my head at comments like that.. 30,20,10 and heck even 5 years is enough time to realize you were wrong.. It's called the PAST for a reason.. Leave the past in the past and move forward with life.. No one is perfect anyone who says they are, are telling lies!!!!!

Yeah, no sense us judging him. His company already has, and an actual judge will have a go at him, also.

I still think the company overstepped here, unless he signed something very specific to this incident before hand.
Truck was in possession of co driver . Safe and sound. So how is that different than if it was parked at home?
Company was requiring him to be in attendance of truck while off duty?
Company does not allow alcohol consumption while off duty?
Company fires all who are cited with a misdemeanor?
He needs a good attorney. Clear his dac, plus lost wages while he is out of work.
Today, i passed the casino on 29 in kc, parking lot full of trucks. I'm sure none of the drivers took advantage of the free drinks

Only if you don't get caught, and your co-driver is a sleazebag, also.

?Why are you calling me a sleazebag ?If we had a disagreement we handled it between ourselves. There was no need to run to the company like a little kid in school !!
