You won't have any problem finding a new job.
Get this court thing behind you first.
Which state do you live in?tucker Thanks this. -
This is going to be one of those Carolina Cargo threads again, isnt it?
I dont see a problem. It appears that everything went according to plan. You intended to get stupified drunk.
"But Six, i didn't plan on losing my job."
The lewd behavior to the lady was enough to cost you your job. What was it that you were trying to prove?spyder7723, Lonesome, gentleroger and 2 others Thank this. -
bottomdumpin and GenericUserName Thank this.

Did you log off duty not sleeper birth? If you were off duty and never signed anything saying you wouldn't leave your tractor you might have a case for wrongful termination. As long as you didn't violate bac and you never drove again after you got hammered, no dot violations occurred. Unless there is more missing to the story

I'd rather share the road with him then someone fidgeting with their Pope hatBob Dobalina and taxihacker66 Thank this. -
To answer a few of these questions...
I live in Ohio. This took place in Florida. Which means apparently I need a Florida attorney, according to my Ohio attorney guy. And like I said, I've never been in any kind of legal trouble before, my attorney is a family one - we use him for evicting tenants.
I was logged off-duty for the duration of this event.
And at the time of my arrest, sometime around 8pm, I wouldn't be driving again for almost 26 hours after that - which puts me well within my now former employer's policy of no consumption of alcohol within 24 hours of driving.
I was never given a BAC or breathalyzer, although in the affidavit it states I was in an intoxicated condition - which I think is putting it pretty nicely.
I can't really blame my co-driver - I'm not that guy. I own my own mistakes as adults should. I'm just hopeful that considering my age, 28, and the lack of any kind of criminal history, that I can get this thing to go away. I just don't know how it's going to affect my ability to find future work.Lonesome and taxihacker66 Thank this. -
Don't think it will affect much as long as nothing went on your driving abstract and you have a good driving record otherwise. Plenty of good companies out there hiring drivers. DAC is a joke for the most part

I wonder what company this was.he should have got a room before getting stupid then his co driver wouldn't have known.

Not to sound like Dr. Phil but it may be time to do a self evaluation if you let yourself get to that point. I quit 5 years ago but i was what I would call an Olympic drinker for a long time. Always made sure it was on a full stomach before I started though
