mike you continue to burn 10-11 hours everyday you will wind up sitting in a TS for 34 hours before you can drive again. it takes time but you need to learn how to balance your hours to be available to run everyday. if i want 34 off it better be in my recliner not a ts in liberal ks

Unless your pressed for time, try and balance out your daily running so you can keep recapping. Running all day only works for dedicated and regional guys like me who get home on weekends. When I was OTR I hated taking 34's

I was told that alot of the problems are that drivers are pressing the Arrived button on the GPS when they are not at the location. Was told that when you press arrive it will recalibtate the GPS to show your current location as the location your trying to goto.

Its ending as soon as it started, i cant hack it in this business, i have alot of respect for those that do it day in and day out. Long story short i was getting to my destination in a small ### town in mass. And i miss the entrance to this place so i keep going down this road (slow mind you) and i end up barely scraping a pole and at same time hopping a curb bending the rim. Some good samaratin called the police and as i finally found a spot to pull over i see cops behind me. Im stressed as it is have little money and not sure how to get back home . Im going to be one of those truck abandoners... Hopefully anyone weeks or years from now who reads this takes away two things, take all your turns way more wide than you even think you need to....and...if you want to make money go company as you rack up miles as a lease guy you will be thinking of how much more you would of made as a company guy....i said i wanted to go lease for less stress but in reality it was the other way around ...at least i can admit when im wrong i guess, good luck to those in the future someone please wish well on me and mine as well...

Take a breather, learn from the mistake and try again. Your new, learning and still got those early butterflies. Take your time and pace yourself.

For the love of god, do not abandon the equipment

Well you make more leasing. Had a lease guy in the other day and he said after all his bills are paid what is left over equles about .55 a mile. Company only makes .30. Dont quit Mike. Your not a quitter.

You had some guy tell you, a student who has never been a driver, he made more money being a lease operator. And then you read post after post from guys who have learned the hard way that leasing is not what they were told it would be. And many experienced O/O's who tell newer hands that leasing ain't for everybody.
Wonder who should be listened to ?

Please, do not just leave the truck. That is a huge blunder You will feel better tomorrow, and can make better decisions.
Calm down, deliver the load, call who ever you should, get some sleep, and think about it. Your company is probably your best friend right now to help you, but if you abandon the truck, they will be very upset.Sleep on it, then do the RIGHT thing, whatever you decide that to be.
