High and mighty? Why do you say that? Because they turned you down? You forgot to mention their reason.

I know someone who drives for Arrow. When I ask how was his miles for the week I alway get the same answer. Always under 2000 miles and it seems he can sit for days.

whispers65233, you didn't mention whether your friend drove dry van or flatbed? Do you know which he drove getting those miles?

    Thanks

I am set up for orientation at Arrow in a couple of weeks, but I have some other outfits I'm waiting to hear back from first. Most have told me they won't hire me until I work at another company, since I took the last 9months off from trucking after driving 7 years OTR at U.S Xpress and IDC.

There is a local company that runs FLBD heavy haul to BC that will hire me if I get 6 months of experience running flats somewhere else so pay and miles are not my concern, learning Fltbding is. So I consider it as paid training.

One question I have for anyone who has been thru there orientation is, if they pre-screen their recruits, or wait till you get there to do it. I filled out and signed all their releases and applications and emailed back to the recruiter. But all I got back was that I am cleared for orientation. That would'nt bother me except that others have turned me down when I refused to be classified like a newbie after driving over 800,000 miles accident free so they could pay me less.

Thanks for any responces in advances

I read an article about Arrow in one of the trucking magazines last week and it was amazing how the owner/president was running that business. And then the way Arrow abandoned it's drivers was pretty low
