When I am out on the road, I lay in my comfy sleeper with the free heater going while on the internet watching movies and posting on forums.

When I am at home, I lay in my comfy bed with the heater that I pay for going while on the internet watching movies and posting on forums.

Not to mention my house is further than walking distance from any restuarants! Get me back on the road! I only come home for dentist and doctor appointments and to pick up things I like to order from Amazon.

You spend more money while at home than anywhere else.

always! even on breakdown, got stuck in a hotel for a week, when im not on the road and driving I eat more.... my friends always ask why i stay out so long, no reason to be home, im gonna camp out on my laptop if im in the truck or sitting in a hotel, so why not be making money while im doing it. I don't even have an apartment anymore, waste of money and currently working for a company that I cant take the truck home and no terminals where I'm originally from so unless I plan on buying a plane ticket for hometime, in the truck i will stay :)

That's a great attitude to have, problem is too many carriers get everything all backwards and put these wannabe gypsy drivers on the regional freight, and put the drivers who want home time as far from home as possible :biggrin_25510:

Yeah that is true when I am at home I spend about $40 worth of gas and shop at the mall and go to nice restaurants just because I know I will not have as much access to them on the road.

Yes. A mansion so I can create my own world in my house. I already have a workout room, but perhaps I can add a lot of separate equipment, a spa, and a sauna and turn it into a nice gym that is open 24/7 without a high membership fee.

weeks/months away from home is the one and only appeal of OTR trucking. no idea why some homesick fool with a family would go OTR. go work in the oil field if that's the case. much better money anyway.
