It definitely feels good to only have to worry about self, and no one else.
Makes driving easier, and saving money easier depending on how you budget.

I swear there are times I feel like I am on a Midwest - North East regional route. Last time I went home it took me five days to get out of the North East.

My 2012 truck had 200 miles when I got it a few months ago. It still had plastic on the seats. I replaced the mattress, bought expensive sheets, and have everything I need in there minus a washer/dryer and shower but I get those at the truck stop. I have prepass and hardly ever go into a weigh station and if I do I just get the green light and go. Four wheelers do not bother me, I stay in my slow lane and enjoy life. One thing I still noticed is that even though I do not have 30 years experience like most truckers, I do not understand why you guys go into raging tantrums when something doesn't go your way or if another driver doesn't follow every single rule by the book. If someone wants to be stupid that just makes me appear smarter. I go on about my day and let other drivers be silly if they want to.
