Yep, as I said it ultimately comes down to state/officer.

Care to explain why? anything over 8,000lbs i'm overweight on my single axle without it. I have a double reinforced frame. 1 3500 ram and i'm maxed out for my rear axle. This setup has the opportunity to haul 2 additional, cars.... without the tag its impossible.

one option for me is to remove both tires and put on a single WIDE heavy load bearing low profile tag tire (not a super single)... any one have leads on such a setup?

Why do you have a double frame? How heavy is that bed? We could load 20,000 pounds of stone in a single axle dump truck and not be over weight.
