As a Student, I am inquiring: What do truckers do while waiting 4 hours to unload?

Or get up and clean your windshield and they act like they never seen someone open a hood before.

 

I'm lucky in that regard, as my customers are usually calling me asking if I can deliver early, as the product on my truck is scheduled for delivery that day.

Some of my customers are just storefronts and have no whse, so it's JIT delivery.

 

Sleep in the bunk. One ear on the radio. HEY YOUR DOCK IS READY. WE BE WAITING ON YOU!!!

Oh that was for someone else back to sleep. Wait some more.

Remember to discard the niceities of professionalism. IF you are a load of apples in a safeway, and safeway lady wants her Apples NAOW... you can safely assume her demand for Apples all over Atlanta on her base station means YOU.

 

Wrong guy to ask for a number of reasons bud. But when I was in my box truck, I kept a band with me in the cab and had an hour stretch before my first delivery. Once I got on the highway and rolling at max speed, I'd work out my arms for a little bit.

They come with a chart that has all the exercises you can do on it, most are small-space friendly.

 

Pretty much whatever you want as long as your telieved of duty!
