As a Student, I am inquiring: What do truckers do while waiting 4 hours to unload?

No no, I just like to be comfortable while watching and I can hardly do that with my truck off.

 

I cuss a lot(only because I very rarely spend more than an hour at either end)

 

"Driver, put your trailer up on the hill with all the other hot loads."

In the 3 years I spent hauling out of the USA only a few times I spent 4 hours at a dock. Generally I was in and out in 2 hours loading or unloading which in the big picture is squat when your are 800 miles between dock bumps

 

Doesn't anyone load & unload their own truck?

 

I used to, but 6 days per week, 10-12 hrs per day for nearly 3 yrs wore me out.
