ASAP HELP, how to add a DUAL PLUG Connector to truck

i am looking for a way to install a connector or adaptor to be able to charge a liftgate trailer, my truck only have the regular 7 pin for electricity to trailer.
if any one can help me out i will appreciate and please provide me name of parts that way will be easier to find them thanks so much

Sounds like maybe a small generator. But I'm the worst person to ask.

 

Get a 2 pin plug. One is ground and one is hot. And trailer or truck shop should have one. Same size plug as 7 way but just has 2 large pins. They use them for all kinds of things on trailers

 

Just go to a trailer/truck shop and tell em what you want to do

 

It's really easy. I have attached everything you need with the exception of solder, and a torch. You run the cable directly from the battery to the socket. Measure the approximate length from the battery to where you are going to mount it. Then order a foot or two extra.

 

Why not a 2 pole plug?

 

An Anderson connector is probably what you want.

It’s exactly what and the way I run my hydraulic pump for the lift decks on my car trailer.

 

We install a circuit breaker like this in case you get a short.

We just use the single pin sockets and cords.

 

All the lift gates that I have ever seen have a single prong. The electric cord for this set up is referred to a stinger cord.
