I have the exact set up on my truck and reefer unit to jump start the reefer or my truck. The day after I installed it, my truck wouldn't start and it worked great.

The only extra thing I did was I added a 120 amp fusible link that I got from advanced auto parts between the battery and the connector to the cable.Keepforgettingmypassword Thanks this.

That is a good idea, I just never put one on mineHulld Thanks this.

Circuit breaker works better then a fuse, just reset it, make sure it’s 4-6 awg wire, I have a double pin for set up for the tarp on my dump trailer. Wrap the wires in some old fire house or heater hose so they don’t chafe,

I hav3 a lift Gate on my trailer. I run a 2 pin system positive and negative to a separate whip designed for the gate. Which gate do you have?

Two prong is the common set up because that guarantees a good ground supply.
If it’s a reefer trailer with lift gate just run the gate battery or pump with a 6 or 4ga cable straight off the refer alternator or battery. No need to connect it to a tractor.
