Ashley Furniture? Good company?

Any info on LTL out of advance thinking about relocating down there?

 

What would you like to know, I pull loads out of there every week, its in a nice location--people are very nice that I have met---

 

Nooooooooooooooooo stay away from them....

 

Look we really do not know your position , as far as what you need to live on, but you need 2 yrs tri state experience in a big rig, and doing the straight truck for them, well is just making a little less that what u need to live---take it from there, but it is a job----

 

I'm currently a Ashley driver working out of the Oakdale Pennsylvania yard, wife and I are thinking about relocating to the south, just wanted to know if running LTL is any different than up north

 

Well I am PTP out of Brandon FL, I run from Leesport South and over to Ecru mostly, I think the Advance location is a great location to live, And where the factory is, is really nice--just my opinion . I hear the drivers there have the good weeks and bad weeks just like any where else. I would ask you to talk to the RTM out of Advance, nice guy there--ex driver, the way I look at it the further south u go, the less snow u have to deal with---lol.

From what I have been told from LTL drivers there, the Advance location, runs better than Leesport.
But it has its moments.

 

I love going to Advance as well, just left there yesterday. And they will be expanding that facility greatly over the next few years. The RTM, Kelly, is a great guy, he can help you out with any questions. Like ashley driver said though, talk to him, as we aren't in on all the specifics of that location as we aren't based there.

 

Ashley did away with their student program?

 

I actually heard that they where going to have that program start up in Advance about this June, I haven't confirmed that yet---I haven't heard that it was active anywhere else at the moment .

 

From what Ashley has said there plans are to add 500,000 sq feet to the plant, starting this year.
