i onnly listen to 2 channels. lately it's been 3. one of the channels i don't listen to that much. i hate paying the fee. but it's better then constantly searching for a station every 50 miles. specially when it's mostly mexican and jesus out there.
aside from satellite radio, what's the next best thing?

Verizon unlimited text/talk/data
doesnt get much better than that.
i have unlimited data.
where you got it mounted? had mine next to a clearance light and only got service when I ran south or west. run east or north and no die.
moved it on top of my driver side side view mirror and problen solved. get reception anyway i go. -
"unlimited data" isn't always unlimited. I think there had to be a cap somewhere like 3GB? Which is plenty for a month.

that's weird. I'd expect satellite radio to pick up signals EVERYWHERE.

3 gigs plenty? Speak for yourself.
I use more than that in a week.
No caps with some companies
TMo caps your unlimited. -
Not when you consider where the satellite is in geo-synchronis orbit [above]. It's (they're) not directly over the center of the continental US. They sit relatively low on the horizon if you're in Mass, however if you're in AZ, it's well up overhead. Why they position them where they do? I Don't know but I'm sure they have their reasons.

i know in oregon, along the 84. the radio is mostly silent. and i've had 3 different models. one of them being a manufacture installed unit.
joseph1135 Thanks this. -
A lot of tree cover. US 97 is the same way, and so are parts of the 5.
